About Parallax

Parallax is a research and strategic advisory practice focused on Philippine copper and its connection to international institutional capital.

The thesis is specific: global copper demand is entering a structural acceleration driven by AI infrastructure, electrification, and defense modernization, all scaling into a supply chain that cannot produce fast enough to keep pace. The Philippines holds the world's fourth-largest copper reserves, with roughly 95% still unexplored and a regulatory environment that has opened decisively to foreign investment since 2021. It is the major copper jurisdiction that institutional capital has not yet found.

Parallax works at the seam between these two realities. We produce original analysis on the Philippine copper sector (its projects, its value chain, its risks, its regulatory terrain) and provide strategic advisory to international investors evaluating the opportunity and to Philippine mining operators seeking capital beyond traditional channels.

Parallax was founded by Karlo Dizon (LinkedIn).

Karlo works in global capital and geopolitical strategy, where he maintains direct relationships across the sovereign wealth, institutional investor, and global allocator community. He is Filipino-American, with deep cultural and familial ties to the Philippines. He holds degrees from Yale University, the London School of Economics, and Stanford Law School.
